Home / Financing options / Bank or credit union
Your bank or credit union may offer an unsecured loan, home equity loan, or home equity line of credit for roof work. Start with a written project price, then compare the lender's full cost and repayment terms.
You choose and apply with your lender. Alron does not arrange these loans or make credit decisions. Home equity loans and lines of credit use your home as collateral; missed payments can put your home at risk.

Apply only on the provider's secure website. Do not send sensitive financial information through Alron forms or chat.
Ask your lender whether an unsecured home improvement or personal loan is available. Confirm its approved amount, APR, fees, and repayment schedule. Do not assume every personal loan is unsecured.
A home equity loan provides a lump sum borrowed against your home's equity. Its rate may be fixed or adjustable. If you already have a mortgage, this is an additional payment obligation.
A HELOC lets you draw from an approved credit limit as needed. It is secured by your home and usually has an adjustable rate, so payments can change.
Ask for the APR, fees, total repayment, payment changes, and prepayment rules. For a home equity product, also ask about closing costs, liens, draw periods, and when principal repayment begins.
Alron Construction is not a lender. Financing is provided by independent third party lenders. The provider determines availability, approval, amount, APR, fees, term, and payment. Review the full written offer before accepting.
Possibly. The available amount depends on the lender, your application, and the product. Home equity borrowing also depends on available equity. Get approval before relying on an amount.
No. A longer repayment term can lower a payment while increasing total cost. Compare complete written offers for the same project amount.
The CFPB recommends speaking with a housing counselor before adding a home equity loan or HELOC. Other options may make better financial sense.
